Pizza Under 10 Carbs

Perfect Low Carb Pizza
Really, this is one I’ve been working on for a while. When I made a commitment to go low carb and stay off drugs (prescription drugs that is) for Type 2 Diabetes, I didn’t realize how much I would miss my Pizza and Beer. Well, I worked hard and came up with a Lite Beer that works for me and comes in at only 3 g Carbs (Michelob Ultra); check it out at Light Beer Challenge. Now, all I had to do was solve the Pizza side of the equation. Step in and check out my Under 10 Carb Pizza Solution. You’ll be surprised.

All American Hotdog

All American Hot Dog
So, this morning when I headed to the grocery store I really wanted to pick up hot dogs for lunch. However, previous research had me cut them out of my diet because, the "All American Hot Dog" served the old fashion way, just plan has to many carbs. Do the math for yourself; cheaper hot dogs with fillers have 6-8 carbs, bun adds 26 carbs and the ketchup adds another 8-10, putting the "All American Hot Dog" over 40 grams carbohydrates.
Today, I found out you can have a "Low Carb All American Hot Dog Lunch"; in my opinion it should be considered the new and improved. Come on in and check it out!

My Favorite Protein Source

Morning Protein Drink
For Active CarbBuster

As an active CarbBuster you're going to have to increase your protein intake. I'm not just talking about active as in cutting carbs from you diet, I'm also talking about including exercise of some type to your lifestyle. If you don't add the protein your body will go after other sources of fuel in your body. That fuel source will in part be muscle as you hold the carbs back.  When protein provides another source of carbs your diet plan will fail. You can continue both a solid diet plan and working on toning your great body when you select the right protein alternative.
For me the active lifestyle  includes training for marathon runs. I often times will be running back to back weekly distances over 50 miles while holding carbohydrates to less than 100 per day. There is no carb loading on this runners' schedule. Let me share how I supplement my protein with this link to my running site MyMarathonRun , click on over to a post from last week on protein. It's a must read for anyone that has dropped their carbohydrate intake below 100 grams.
